Yesterday we went to Ceres to see the snow. For South Africans living at the beach this was a real treat! We travelled about 250km to get to the mountain slopes, but could see snow on the mountain tops nearly all the way there.
This was a stream formed from the melting snow.

A protea bush peaking out from the snow carpet.

The snow resting on the fir branches and the freezing stream. By this time it was already mid -day and the snow was starting to melt.

A frozen lake on our way up to the mountain slopes.

The snow capped Matrooseberg.

Tyre tracks making patterns in the snow.
All in all we had a wonderful day!
