creative bird cushions

These beautiful cushions are made by Tara Badcock.
You can see more of these her creations here. Tara uses freehand machine embroidery and hand embroidery to create these wonderfully feathered creatures. The use of different textured fabrics just adds to the dimensions of the designs. I love the way the embroidery crosses over the different fabrics.

It seems that this is a very popular design for treasuries but unfortunately not for orders! Ah well, at least someone likes it for some or other reason!

Prizes!

Kim was kind enough to bring my prizes all the way to Hermanus. This is the hand over! Besides the champagne, there was this beautifully wrapped and decorated box full of all the other exciting gifts! How lucky can you get!
