Nautical Cushions

An order for some nautical cushions for a friend of mine. I used scraps of fabric, cotton and felt I had lying around and I must say, I was quite pleased with the result. I do so enjoy the stitching and find it really theraputic. Felt is really easy to work with because it doesn't fray and is easy to cut into shapes. Some fishy tags to complete the package. I'm not really a fan of orange and am not sure why I bought it in the first place! Who knows what was going on in my head at the time!

Pencil cases

Patchwork pencil cases I 've been working on. Some I have given away as gifts and some I have listed in my shop.
I love doing the embroidery, beadwork and patches, but am not so keen on making up the bags. Nothing ever seens to be straight, no matter how many times I measure and iron!

notebooks

I've been having problems with my printer and decided to test it out with various designs. I used them to make these personalized note books for my friends.
I need to work on my sewing skills a bit, but all in all was quite happy with the outcome!

Dizzy Doll

I have just made a bag for a friends daughter and I thought I would show you how it turned out. This is the original artwork and starting point for the print. Final print, with her name on the front of the dress. I only made the doll because I'm thinking of doing a sort of kit where you get the print in a couple of different sizes so you can make up whatever you want-bags, dolls, cushions etc. I intend to do all these options myself before I put it into my shop!

The bag has a draw-string which is very easy to make and works really well.

The bag is linned but at the moment no pockets or pouches, maybe later. Pull the cords, sling it over your back and off you go! I will photograph it on a child (not a chair!) before I list it in my shop. What do you think?
I am also working on a fish design but will show you that next week!
